Getting Involved
There are countless ways you can help the High Peak Conservative Association, some of which are outlined below. If you wish to get more involved in supporting your local Conservative team, e-mail us for more information.

Leaflet Delivery
We have a regular programme of leaflet delivery to all homes in the constituency. You could simply volunteer to deliver your road or further afield, either on a regular basis or just during election campaigns. You can deliver as many or as few as you wish. We will not press you to do more than you are able to. Our aim is to have a large number of volunteers, each delivering a small number of leaflets. You don't have to be a member to help deliver leaflets, your local Conservatives are grateful for any help you can give.

Conservative Policy Forum
The CPF (Conservative Policy Forum) enables members of the Conservative Party to engage in political debate on the big issues of the day and to help influence the policy of the Party. High Peak Conservatives have regular meetings to discuss the latest briefs, typically one to three meetings per quarter. Our opinions are then summarised in a report which is sent to Conservative Central Office for consideration. If you would like to come along or get involved, please e-mail us.

Social Events
As a member of the local Conservative Party you will be notified of the many social functions held throughout the year. These include lunches, dinners, trips and tours, quizzes, BBQs and much more. A list of upcoming Social Events can be found here.

The principal benefit of Conservative Party membership is the right to participate. Paid up members of the Conservative Party have:

  • A vote in the election of the Party Leader.
  • A vote in the selection of candidates for parliamentary, local government and European elections.
  • Direct influence in the development of policy.
  • The chance to attend the Party Conference.
  • The opportunity to meet influential, like minded people.
  • A range of other benefits including a member’s newsletter, and e-mail updates.
  • The right to attend monthly local Branch Meetings.

NB: New members will gain voting rights after a 3 month qualifying period.

Being a member of High Peak Conservative Association means that you have joined the most open and democratic political party in Great Britain. It is for you to decide how active a member you wish to become. Many members support our political and campaigning activities; others choose to support our social and fund raising; some support us through their subscription alone.

Our members come from all age groups and occupations. They provide us with the necessary help and support which allows us to carry out our work. When you join High Peak Conservative Association you automatically become a member of the Conservative Party, and you will be made welcome, both locally and nationally.
If you wish to join the Association, either download and complete a membership form, e-mail us, or phone the office on 01298 22521.

Donations are a very important method of fundraising for the Association, and every penny counts.
All money raised goes towards running costs, and the costs of electing Conservatives to fight for a fair and open society.
All donations are greatly appreciated, and every penny donated is put to good use:

  • £2 pays for 150 lapel stickers
  • £5 pays for 15 letters to recruit new members
  • £10 provides 500 colour 'calling cards' for doorstep canvassing
  • £15 funds a leaflet campaign to 500 voters
  • £50 buys 25 poster boards for elections
  • £100 pays for 5000 colour A3 newspapers
