At the March meeting (14th March), Cllr Julie McCabe talked about the work of the "Women's Aid" group, based in Glossop but helping people from a wider area of Derbyshire.

'An Evening with Conor Burns MP'

On Friday 7th March members of HPCA enjoyed an evening with Conor Burns MP talking about Margaret Thatcher, his great friend and confidant during her later years.

Everyone is welcome to join our friendly Coffee Club

The Glossop Coffee Club meets on the second Friday of the month, 10.30am to 12.30pm at Windy Harbour Farm Hotel, Glossop.  It gives a chance to chat with friends over a coffee and biscuits or a slice of gateau, followed by an illustrated talk.  The talks cover a wide range of topics including political, medical, social issues, education, music, local issues, the Police, techinical, environmental, local history and many more .......

Buxton Conservatives stand up for residents' housing concerns

Buxton Conservative Councillors Tony Kemp and Emily Thrane were left to stand up for residents' concerns over proposed extra housing at a recent Councillors’ workshop, after none of Buxton's Labour councillors turned up to represent their residents.
